About Joel Roggenkamp

My Story
I have been involved with information technology for over ten years as an entrepreneur, employee, and teacher. Memories of my childhood are filled with scenes of planting, harvesting, canning, and freezing; as well as raising chickens, pheasants, rabbits, and even sheep one summer.

For the past seven years, I've been the de-facto technology guy for Gaia Garden Designs, my dad's greenhouse and CSA operation in St. Cloud. During that time, I've seen an explosion in demand and interest for local agriculture. One factor that is fueling this growth is the information technology that helps buyers and sellers communicate.

Professional Background
I spent two years as a Business Analyst for an aviaion software company before becoming a business teacher. I started my first software business in college selling an application to track attendance for community organizations. In 2011, I released an online version of the same application. I've done consulting on software customizations and created websites for small businesses.
